Mr. Utset is the founder of MEKCO Group Aviation and serves as President / CEO. Prior to starting MEKCO Group, Bill was the Sr. Vice President of Operations for CR Media, Corp. launching the first portable media player in the car rental industry for Hertz®, with the Nick On The Go®. From 1997 to 2007, he led the On Board Maintenance Service locations for Rockwell Collins in the United States and South America. In 1987, Bill launched the FAA Repair Facility for AVICOM International in Miami, Florida, expanding that facility from humble beginnings to a facility of over 20,000 sq. ft. He also launched the first hand-held portable video player concept in 1995 for American Airlines, which paved the way for today’s portable IFE market. Bill has over 30 plus years of experience in the aviation industry managing, directing, and launching service organizations.
