Dr. Paul Thomas, a veterinarian with AMVC, shares his initial experience testing out Pradalex, a product that Elanco Swine is bringing to the market as an SRD injectable treatment option.

CAUTION: Federal law restricts this drug to use by or on the order of a licensed veterinarian. Federal law prohibits the extra-label use of this drug in food-producing animals. To ensure responsible antimicrobial drug use, use of pradofloxacin should be limited to treatment of swine respiratory diseases in swine only after consideration of other non-fluoroquinolone therapeutic options.

Dr. Paul Thomas
Dr. Paul Thomas is Veterinarian at AMVC Veterinary Services and Swine Management Services based out of Iowa. Dr. Thomas received a Bachelor of Science in animal science (2009), Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (2013), and a Master of Science in veterinary preventive medicine (2015), all from Iowa State University. He was the 2019 AASV Young Swine Veterinarian of the Year winner.
