In this FastChat interview, Connecting Africa Editor Paula Gilbert is joined by CommScope’s Femi Oshiga to discuss 5G rollout in Africa and some of the actions operators can take so that 5G can realize its full potential on the continent.
With a background in telecommunication engineering, Femi has been working in the mobile industry for over 20 years starting in Europe, followed by Middle-East and Africa (MEA) and more recently in Asia Pacific (APAC) as well. Based out of Dubai, Femi joined CommScope over 8 years ago and is currently Sales Vice-President of the Commscope Outdoor Wireless Network Portfolio servicing mobile network operators across MEA and APAC.
Paula Gilbert has been the Editor of Connecting Africa since June 2019. The South Africa-based journalist previously worked as a TV producer and reporter for business television channels Bloomberg TV Africa and CNBC Africa, and started her career in radio news.
